You are exactly my brand of heroin

This weekend is just what I needed. The past week has been so stressful, and spending time goofing off with the boyfriend is just what the doctor ordered.

Anytime I need to relax, or need someone there to just listen, he's always there, and I love him for it. He puts up with way more bitching than necessary (not that I haven't put up with my fair share of it too :P ). Words can't explain how thankful I am to have a person like him around.

Before I start to get all mushy and obsessive, I'm going to move on to a new topic. I'm finally getting the art of cooking down, well chicken anyway, and I'm pretty proud of myself. I can finally move past the instant food. I've always been pretty good at baking, but cooking is another thing entirely.

Okay, now on to the fun part: complaining. I don't understand why people insist on spending tons of money on one article of clothing. Treating yourself is one thing. Everyone deserves to treat themselves now and again. But I know people who won't buy things unless they're some name brand like Hollister or Abercrombie and Fitch and cost 50 dollars and up. I admit, I own some clothes from places like these, but everything I got from there came off of a sales rack, and I didn't get it because of the brand, I got it because I liked it and it was comfortable. For some of these other people, the term "sales rack" is equivalent to "the plague". Why spend the extra money if you can get similar things elsewhere or at half the price? I makes no sense to me.

That's all the ranting I'll do for now, but I'm sure there will be something later as the boyfriend is staying the rest of the night and I'll have new things to talk about. Comments and subscriptions are fantastic :]

I'm so happy for you and your boyfriend. It's good to hear you are happy with him.

To me, Sales Rack = GOLD MINE. I'm a 100% with you on this one. Name brands don't mean much at all to me, and they really aren't something to be obsessed over. I mean, when you have the opportunity, it's really nice to buy yourself something expensive and gorgeous, but it's not a necessity. I love fashion and clothes and all that, but it's totally possible to be fashionable on a budget.

Much love, sweetie. <3

I've become a sales rack goddess. I can take about 200 dollars and buy two or three times as much as everyone else can. I love not being obsessive over the name brands. The best part is when I get the compliment on what I'm wearing before the other person who spends tons of money on theirs does. It's amazing what I can pull off on a budget :P

Oh yes, being noticed before the girl donned in Prada or D&G is always a plus. Some people don't realize that sales racks have some really nice stuff on it. Look at my blog, for example. The dress I posted a picture of from Victoria's Secret is so cute and straight from the clearance rack.
