Addictions and Obsessions

Okay, so I'm sure everyone out there has at least one addiction, one obsession that they just can't let go of, or at least couldn't let go of it for a significant period of time. As for me, I try to not get too attached, but I do have my weaknesses. So here they are, in no particular order.

Twilight - Yes, I am one of the millions of Edward-crazed girls, and I don't care who knows it. I'd gladly become a vampire any day.

Food - I'm an extremely picky eater, but when I find something I like, look out. Like 90% of the population, I made a New Year's Resolution to lose some poundage, and that idea only began to sink in this past week. Goodbye my tasty friend :[.

My MP3 Player - It's little, it's cute, and it has pink headphones. It provides entertainment and an escape. What's not to love?

Reading - I'd like to say about 50% of my time is spent with a nose in a book. Again, it's like an escape, but a different kind of escape than that of my MP3 player. This is more like a really awesome vacation.

Taking Stupid Pictures - I have mastered some of the sickest faces. Enough said.

Being Lazy - The first thing I do when I get home is change into pajamas. That's how eager I am to lapse into my laziness. Give me some sweats and a hoodie anyday.

Gilmore Girls, Sex and the City, and Will & Grace - I absolutely adore these T.V. shows. And yes yes, they're a bit girly, but guess what, I'm a girl and that's what I like :].

Sleeping with my Little Dog at my Feet - She's cute, she snores, and she keeps my feet warmer than any pair of socks could. I love my little dog :]

Talking to the Boyfriend at Least Once a Day - To quote my first obsession, "You're exactly my brand of heroine." He's the perfect solution to a bad day, or a lovely bonus to a good day. I love hearing his voice every day. He's the cheese to my macaroni :].

So yeah, this is what my life consists of on a day to day basis. Your addictions and obsessions? Leave me some responses.

Too Many Items, too Little Money

The list of things I want has dramatically increased in the past day. I'm not the usual girl who wants all the frilly things, like new shoes, and a new cell phone, and a new purse (though I would never complain to those who would like to give those things to me...), but in the amount of time it takes to research something on this fantastic world wide web, I'm finding myself craving more and more things.

For instance, I really, really would love the book "A Ticket to Ride" by Dennis Potter. The book seems absolutely awesome, and I would give anything to get my fingers on it. It seems however, that it is out of print, and very few copies of it were made, making it a now pricey item. The cheapest I could find it for was about ninety-eight dollars, which I can't afford to be spending on a book, despite how much I want it.

This my friends is only the tip of the iceberg. I have numerous other books on my list, too many for me to list. Right now, as I'm writing some of the titles down, it comes out to over thirty books. Yes, I am that much of a nerd. And proud I might add.

I have also taken my painting back up again. It's sort of a zen thing for me. Painting and walks. And since its barely been over zero degrees this past few days, I'm stuck inside painting. And reading. And wishing I could be on a walk.

That's about all the updates/complaining I have for now. If anyone is feeling generous, feel free to send a copy of A Ticket to Ride to me. Until next time beloved readers :]

Mother Nature has the Worst Timing

Okay, I know it has been an uber long time since I have posted anything on here, or even read anything on here. Sorry. Really, I'm sorry. Lazing around the house has just recently been one of my top priorities.

So, right now my little lovely town is receiving a TON of snow. Not just those few inches with some flurries still coming down, but about 5 inches of snow already on the ground with those huge marble sized snowflakes that just keep coming. Needless to say, I am in absolute heaven.

However, I would have been in an even better heaven had Mother Nature had a bit better timing. Instead of doing all this on a weekday, it has to happen on a weekend when I have places to go and people to see. Thanks Mother Nature. Thanks a lot.

Really, that seems to be the only new thing I have to talk about, even though I've been gone for more than a month. Wow. That's kind of pathetic. Anyway, here's to hoping I get off my lazy butt and keep up with this more. Hoping you're having fun wherever you are, and don't have the inconvenience of being snowed in like me :]
